Louisiana Revised Statutes require all political subdivisions and local governmental agencies to adopt operating budgets for their general funds and their special revenue funds. Each agency is required to adopt a budget prior to the beginning of their fiscal year. The JPSO adopts a budget at a public hearing in June of each year.
