The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office (JPSO) has jurisdiction throughout the parish, however, our efforts are primarily focused on the "unincorporated" areas of the parish. Each of the 6 municipalities in the parish maintains their own police force to cover their cities and towns.
The "unincorporated" areas served by the JPSO are broken down into 4 Patrol Districts. The 1st and the 4th districts are on the east bank of the parish, while the 2nd and 3rd districts are on the west bank. Each district has a station located in it.
