The JPSO has also teamed up with the Jefferson Children's Advocacy Center (JCAC), a nationally accredited, private 501 (c)(3) non-profit agency located in a safe, child-focused facility within Jefferson Parish. The JCAC serves child abuse (sexual and severe physical, neglect and endangerment) survivors, as well as witnesses of violent crimes through the following services:
  • A child sexual abuse prevention/education program in elementary schools and for adults
  • Community awareness trainings
  • Digitally recorded forensic interviews
  • Multi-disciplinary team reviews
  • A trauma-focused counseling program

The services they provide are critical to helping our office investigate and prevent child abuse in our community.

The JCAC is a non-profit organization that relies on grants, donations and charitable contributions. They sponsor several fundraising events during the year, from an annual "Step Up for Children" gala to "Brown Bag Lunch" campaigns. Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
