National Night Out Against Crime

Beginning in 2011, The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office along with all of the law enforcement agencies in the New Orleans area agreed to celebrate National Night Out Against Crime at a later date in October when the temperatures have dropped.

Our National Night Out Against Crime Kick-Off Event will be Sunday, October 2, 2022, from noon-6:00 PM in the Pontchartrain Center parking lot located at 4545 Williams Blvd, Kenner.  

Our National Night Out Against Crime is scheduled for Tuesday, October 4, 2022, last day to register is Friday, September 30, 2022.

National Night Out is designed to:

• Increase crime prevention awareness
• Stimulate anti-crime efforts
• Strengthen neighborhood support

Purpose

Criminals do not like to venture into neighborhoods where many eyes are on watch, looking for anything or anyone out of the ordinary. One of the greatest aids JPSO has is calls from neighbors who see something on their block that raise their suspicion.

We hope that you will make a commitment to contribute and continue to make Jefferson Parish neighborhoods safe. Participate in National Night Out Against Crime and meet your neighbors and the officers who patrol your neighborhood. Let's all work together to keep Jefferson one of the safest communities in the nation.
