The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office Reserve Division continuously seeks qualified community members who meet the tough standards necessary to become a J.P.S.O. Reserve Deputy. Jefferson Parish, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office invite you to consider a second career with one of the states' finest law enforcement agencies. To be considered for a position of Reserve Deputy, you must meet the following criteria: U.S. citizen 21 years old Registered Voter of Jefferson Parish High school or GED graduate Possess valid Louisiana Drivers License Have a good driving record No felony convictions No drug convictions or domestic violence convictions Be in good physical condition, and Able to pass an intensive background investigation The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office Reserve Division is also seeking qualified Officers for lateral entry into its Reserve Division. Applicants must have graduated from a P.O.S.T. approved academy, and will be required to successfully complete the same processing criteria required by Personnel, of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
