Lennie Brown
Name: Lennie Brown
Position: Detective
Division: Police on Campus
Years of Law Enforcement Service: 9 yrs.

Detective Lennie Brown started his law enforcement career in 1996 with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office as a Cadet. Lennie Brown has worked in several divisions, Second District Patrol, Project Star and recently Police on Campus. He is assigned to Helen Cox High School to provide security for both the students and staff to ensure that each student has a safe learning environment while removing any potential problems from the school grounds. The presence of an officer on campus helps maintain a degree of order in the schools, and present a positive image and role model to the students. Police on Campus also assist students with social problems both at school and at home.

"I have always wanted to be a police officer and follow in the footsteps of my father, retired Lieutenant Mike Ling," Brown said. “I really enjoy working with kids. I enjoy being a positive role model for them; it's something that a lot of them are lacking at this point in their lives."
