Sergeant Michael Carrone has been employed at the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office since March 28, 1988. At age 21 he started his career in law enforcement working for Harahan Police Department. Three years later he applied to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. Carrone started as a Deputy in the Fourth District, seven years later transferred to the Detective Bureau working in the Personal Violence division, then transferring to the Third District as an acting Supervisor. July 2003, Carrone was promoted to Sergeant in the Third District. He is responsible for 19 deputies, to make sure that all officers are prepared for their duties, and check paper work for processing police reports. Daily duties include, addressing citizens concerns, handling calls and oversee major crime scenes. |

| Sergeant Michael Carrone finds his job very rewarding. "My experience working in the Detective Bureau has been the most rewarding, I brought my experience from the Bureau to the Third District," Carrone said. "My role now in the Third District is to teach the road officers, share my knowledge and experience." | |
