Karen Chandler has over twenty-five years experience in Payroll and Human Resources, and has worked for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office since May 2005. She is responsible for managing all aspects of the Payroll Division, assuring compliance with policy and procedures regarding various payroll issues for approximately 1600 employees. The Payroll Division gathers all information needed to process a bi-weekly payroll, assuring that all deductions and various reporting are handled. She is ready to assist employees, supervisors and other divisions with special needs.

"I really enjoy my job here at JPSO. It allows me to get to know people and help them with questions they may have about their payroll," said Chandler, adding that she is very proud to work with the other payroll ladies, Jenni, Pam and Nancy, they are willing to do whatever it takes. A very wise gentleman that I worked with years ago in payroll once told me, "You can mess with a lot of things, but people's money is not one of them, so get it right!"
