Luke LaBruzza has been an employee with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office since October 22, 1992. He started his career in law enforcement with the Gretna Police Department. Luke's career with JPSO started in the Judicial Department under the command of the late Colonel McClendon. In 1996 Luke transferred to the Concealed Handgun Permit office and was promoted to Sergeant in 1997 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2001. Luke's daily duties and responsibilities include background checks and processing applications for Jefferson Parish concealed handgun permits. For each individual that applies, there is a complete background check performed, which consist of a local and nationwide check. |
