Detective Stacy Taranto joined the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office in 1994. She has 18 years of diverse police experience as an N.C.I.C. Operator, Patrol Officer and Narcotic Investigator. She attended the training academy and graduated in 1996 and was assigned to the Fourth District. In 2009 she was promoted to Detective in the Narcotics Division. She is responsible for conducting investigations, coordinating with various agencies, federal, state and local for the purpose of providing and/or receiving critical information on narcotic dealers. Other duties include writing detailed reports concerning the investigations and preparing search warrants, court orders and subpoenas to obtain evidence of criminal activity.
