Deputy Chief Andrew LeBlanc started his career here at the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office in June of 1970. Andrew LeBlanc started working in the Payroll Division. In 1973 he was transferred to the Property Tax Division, and later was promoted to the Director's position. In December 2003 Andrew LeBlanc was promoted to Deputy Chief of the Revenue and Taxation Bureau which collects Property Taxes, Sales Taxes and Fees & Fines. With a staff of 65 employees, the Bureau collects over 500 million dollars per year. The Sheriff's Office is the Tax Collector for Jefferson Parish, Jefferson Parish School Board, various Levee Districts; Coroner's Office and other local and State agencies. Chief LeBlanc's daily duties include overseeing his staff, monitor different office locations, and ensuring that all taxes are fees are collected and distributed according to Parish ordinances and State laws. |

Chief LeBlanc has enjoyed his years here at the Sheriff's Office. "I met my wife here, who also started in 1970," said LeBlanc. "My job has become a very important part of my life; this is a second family after 34 years." |
