Belinda Delotte-Favorite has been working for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office since September 1988. During her eighteen years here she has worked in various divisions of the sheriff's office beginning with 911 Communications, Bureau of Identification, Warrants & Attachments and A.F.I.S. (Automated Fingerprint Identification System). A.F.I.S. is a system which identifies and compares fingerprints on criminals and other types of applicants. In 1995, Belinda attended Fingerprint School to learn all aspects for identifying fingerprints and upon completion she was promoted to Fingerprint Technician. The machine used which scans live fingerprints into A.F.I.S. is called the LiveScan, DeLotte-Favorite is responsible for making sure that the subject is printed and identified correctly and assisting other agencies when needed.

 

"I have learned several different things over the years, to help others, never give up and always ask questions," said DeLotte-Favorite.
