Name: Anne O'Heren Jakob Position: Reserve Deputy Division: Quad Squad Years of Service: 6yrs. |
Deputy Anne Jakob has been a member of the Quad Squad for six years now. Anne is currently the only female enlisted in the Squad, she was recruited by her husband Robert who is the longest tenured Reserve Deputy in the Quad Squad. The Quad Squad consists of all volunteers each with a physical disability using wheelchairs or scooters. They have been in existence for almost 20 years and cover both the East Bank and West Bank. Their duties range from issuing citations to those illegally parked in handicapped places to submitting reports for Jefferson Parish businesses that are not handicapped accessible. When subpoenas are issued they appear at traffic court to answer any questions from the D.A. The Quad Squad members are also involved in community awareness on issues connected with handicapped access. |
