SUSPECT WANTED IN AVONDALE ATTEMPTED MURDER INVESTIGATION

Sheriff Newell Normand announces, an arrest warrant has been issued for 24 year-old, Danny “Noonie” Saulny, of 6300 Riverside Drive in Metairie. Saulny is wanted for the Attempted Second Degree Murder of a 23 year-old female from Avondale, who was shot multiple times by Danny Saulny on January 13, 2014 at 117 Madeira in Avondale. On January 30, 2014, the victim, while recovering from her injuries told Detective Gerald Favaloro she was at her home on the night of the incident when Danny Saulny and an unidentified black male entered her home without her permission and demanded her belongings. After complying and handing over an undisclosed amount of cash, Saulny shot her multiple times for no reason. Both suspects were last seen running from the victim’s home.
On January 31, 2014, Detective Favaloro had arrest warrants issued for Danny Saulny charging him with one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder and one count of a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Saulny has a lengthy prior criminal history with arrests for: Juvenile Status Offences, Possession of Marijuana, Simple Burglary, Simple Criminal Damage, Auto Theft, Aggravated Assault with a Firearm (2 counts), Attempted First Degree Robbery, Aggravated Second Degree Battery, Illegal Carrying of Weapons with a Firearm, Cyber Stalking, Possession with the Intent to distribute a Schedule 1 Narcotic, and Parole Violation. Danny Saulny is currently on parole for the Illegal Use of a Firearm cds/violence until January 2017.
