On April 22, 2012, around 11:45 PM, our officers responded to a report of a carjacking that occurred in the 2200 block of Dolores Drive in Metaire. The victim told investigators he parked his 2012 Dodge pick-up on Dolores Drive (2200 block) near Arlington Drive. He continued by stating that he and a female companion were walking in the 300 block of Arlington Drive when they both observed two unidentified W/M subjects walking in the area who didnt' look like they belonged in the area. As the male victim approached his pick-up he noticed the driver's side door open, and the interior light on. He also observed a male subject, described as one of the two he had seen earlier leaning into his vehicle. After yelling at him, the suspect fled. He was a W/M, 20-25, 5'11", 140, blonde hair, blue jeans, a red t-shirt with a "Nike" logo on it. Moments later the second suspect, described as a W/M, 20-25,6'0", 180, dark hair, blue jeans and a black t-shirt with white writing approached him and demanded his property, along with the keys to his vehicle. The victim complied, indicating that at no time did he see either of the suspects with a weapon. The suspects at that time drove away in his 2012 Dodge vehicle. The vehicle was recoved shortly thereafter near the railroad tracks at Loumor Drive.

The victim accompanied our officers to the location where his vehicle was recovered, and upon getting into the vehicle he told investigators that his laptop and GPS were missing and must have been taken by the suspects.

A canvass of the neighborhood was conducted and investigators determined that a second vehicle in the 300 block of Arlington was burglarized, however, acording to the owner nothing was taken. She did say she left her vehicle unlocked.
