First District Deputy of the Month

Deputy Paul Lalla was selected as the Deputy of the Month from the First District.  In addition to handling a number of calls for service during the month, Deputy Lalla played an integral part in the apprehension of a group of individuals after they committed an armed robbery.

Deputy Lalla and the other members of his watch responded to a reported armed robbery in which the victims described being attacked by a group of four or five perpetrators, including one victim being struck with the firearm.  Deputies were able to quickly take one suspect into custody, but the suspect who struck the victim remained at large.  Deputy Lalla was able to locate that suspect, and took him into custody after a short foot chase.  As he was handling this detention, he observed another suspect fleeing in the area.  Deputy Lalla was able to alert the other deputies to his presence, and he was later arrested also. All in all, 4 suspects were arrested that night and charged with a variety of offenses including armed robbery.

For these actions and his daily effort, we applaud Deputy Lalla and thank him for his service.
