The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance in identifying the suspect in an armed robbery that occurred early this morning.
Just before 4:00am on Thursday, July 20, 2017, our deputies responded to the report of an armed robbery that had occurred at a business in the 400 block of Lapalco Boulevard in unincorporated Gretna. Second District deputies learned that a masked black male entered the business and robbed the cashier at gunpoint.
During the follow-up investigation by our Robbery Section, it was determined that the suspect had entered the business approximately 45 minutes prior to the robbery. He did not have any covering over his face during that visit. Investigators were able to recover still images from the store's video surveillance, which are attached to this release. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5'06" to 5"08 tall, and weighing approximately 220 to 240 pounds.
Anyone recognizing this suspect or having any information about this armed robbery is asked to call our Robbery Section at 504-364-5300 or contact Crimestoppers.
