The JPSO investigates all reports of child abuse through its
Personal Violence Unit. If you suspect child abuse or are a
victim of child abuse, please contact our Personal Violence Unit at (504)
364-5300.
The JPSO has also teamed up with the Jefferson Children’s Advocacy Center
(JCAC), a nationally accredited, private 501 (c)(3) non-profit agency located in
a safe, child-focused facility within Jefferson Parish. The JCAC serves child
abuse (sexual and severe physical, neglect and endangerment) survivors, as well
as witnesses of violent crimes through the following services: digitally
recorded forensic interviews; multi-disciplinary team reviews; a trauma-focused
counseling program; a child sexual abuse prevention/education program in
elementary schools and for adults; and community awareness trainings. The
services they provide are critical to helping our office investigate and prevent
child abuse in our community.
The JCAC is a non-profit organization that relies on grants, donations and
charitable contributions. They sponsor several fundraising events during the
year, from an annual "Step Up for Children" Gala to "Brown Bag Lunch" Campaigns.
Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
The JCAC can be reached at (504)364-3857. If you have any questions about
the services they provide, or if you are in need of their services, please click

you can contact the JCAC Executive Director, Erika Dupépé, at the number
provided or by email: jeffersoncac@att.net.
